Who pays

Affiliate Disclosure: How the Guide Is Paid For

Operators pay us when readers join through some of our links. Here is how those deals work, which brands get a link, and what money cannot buy on these pages.

Affiliate disclosure

Pick Our Team is paid for by affiliate commission. When you follow certain links to a bookmaker or casino and open an account, that operator may pay us; you pay nothing extra for it.

How affiliate deals work

Deals in this trade usually take one of two shapes. A fixed fee is paid once for each new customer who signs up and deposits. A revenue share pays a percentage of what the operator earns from that customer over time. Under a revenue share, the affiliate earns more when referred customers lose. You should know that, and it is one reason we spend as many words on limits, terms and safer-gambling tools as on offers.

  • Bookmakers licensed by the GRAI. A link is allowed. The licence covers betting only; if the brand also runs a casino, we say which foreign licence that side holds.
  • Brands with a foreign licence, such as Malta or Great Britain, and a verdict better than swerve. A link is allowed, with a clear note that it is not an Irish licence.
  • Offshore brands licensed only in places such as Curacao or Anjouan, or not at all. No link, no button, no ranking place, whatever commission is on offer. Where we write about them, it is to tell you to swerve them.

Links to operators pass through an address on our site beginning /go/ and are marked as sponsored for search engines.

What payment does not decide

The order of every ranking follows the form figures and verdicts set out under how we rate operators: licence first, then markets, payments, safer-gambling tools and the clarity of the terms. A higher commission does not move a brand up. A brand with no deal at all can top a list, and a brand paying us can be marked swerve.

Operators do not see pages before publication, cannot buy a review and cannot have a verdict changed by asking. They may send evidence that a fact is wrong, and if it is, we fix the fact.

Offers and codes

Welcome offers and promo codes are shown as the operator publishes them and can change without notice. In Ireland, a ban on targeted inducements is written into the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 but had not been commenced as of October 2026; when it is, offers will change, and so will our pages. The rules on who licenses what are in our licensing guide.

Before you click

You must be 18 or over to open an account with any of these operators. A welcome offer is a marketing cost to the operator, not free money: set a deposit limit before you claim one. If betting has stopped being a pastime, the safer gambling page is a better click than any offer.

Readers' questions

Do I pay more if I join through your link?
No. The commission comes out of the operator's marketing budget and is not added to your stakes or deposits.
Why do some brands in your reviews have no link?
Offshore brands and any brand with the verdict swerve never get a link, whatever they pay.
Can an operator pay for a better ranking?
No. Rankings follow the form figures and verdicts, which are set before any commercial question is considered.
