247bet Review: A Malta Casino With an Unlicensed Irish Sportsbook
White Hat Gaming runs 247bet under Malta and British licences. The casino is a foreign-licensed option; the sportsbook lacks the GRAI licence Irish betting now requires.

247bet is a casino and sportsbook run by White Hat Gaming Limited under Malta Gaming Authority and UK Gambling Commission licences; it holds no Irish licence. This 247bet review rates the casino as one to watch and advises Irish punters to place sports bets elsewhere, with a bookmaker on the GRAI register.
247bet review: the licences on record
Third-party reviews name White Hat Gaming Limited as the operator and list licences from the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission: Malta Gaming Authority (C73232) and UK Gambling Commission (52894), per third-party reviews. Both are regulators with public registers and complaint procedures, which puts 247bet in a different class from the Curacao and Anjouan brands that fill much of the casino market. The operator's own site returned a country-block page when our editors checked, so these details come from reputable review sources rather than the footer itself.
Neither licence is Irish. For the casino that is unavoidable: nobody holds an Irish gaming licence, since the GRAI expects to start licensing gaming only in early 2027. A Malta licence is among the stronger foreign options a casino serving Ireland can carry.
Why the 247bet sportsbook falls short in Ireland
Betting is different. Since 1 July 2026 an online bookmaker taking bets from people in the State needs a GRAI remote betting licence, and before that it needed one from Revenue. White Hat Gaming appears on neither the GRAI register nor Revenue's June 2026 list. Whatever the Malta licence allows elsewhere, it is no Irish betting licence. For racing, GAA or football, the bookmakers on the register are the ones to use; our betting section lists only those.
Does 247bet accept Irish players?
Probably, but not confirmed. No source we found lists Ireland as a restricted country, and a major review network publishes an Irish edition of its 247bet review. The operator's terms could not be read, though, and that is where the answer properly lives. Check the restricted-territories clause before registering, and check which currency an Irish account would run in.
The casino side
Under an MGA licence the casino must verify identity and age, offer responsible gambling tools and handle complaints through a process the regulator oversees. Those are real protections, enforced from Malta rather than Dublin. What we cannot give is a reliable view of the game lobby, providers or table limits, because the operator's pages were closed to us. We describe only what is on the record.
Bonus, promo code and free spins
No 247bet welcome offer or promo code is verified for Irish customers. If the operator supplies one, it appears here: . Casino bonuses under Malta rules still come with wagering requirements, game weightings and expiry dates, and the full terms on the operator's site override any summary. Our bonuses page sets out what to read first.
App, withdrawals and sister sites
No app is confirmed from a store listing linked by the operator, and no withdrawal time is published in sources we could check: . On sister sites, White Hat Gaming is the licence holder to look for; any brand listed under the same holder answers to the same regulators. The sister sites guide explains how to trace them.
247bet verdict: watch
247bet earns a watch, not a swerve. The licences are of decent quality and the operator is named. Against that, the sportsbook lacks an Irish licence, Irish acceptance is unconfirmed in the terms, and the operator's own pages were unreadable. Those weaknesses keep its form line mid-table. If you decide to look at the casino, read the terms for Irish residents first.

Readers' questions
- Who operates 247bet?
- White Hat Gaming Limited, according to established review sources, under licences from the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission.
- Can I bet on sport with 247bet from Ireland?
- We advise against it. Online bookmakers serving Ireland need a GRAI remote betting licence, and White Hat Gaming is not on the register. Use a bookmaker that is.
- Is the 247bet casino regulated?
- Yes, from Malta and Great Britain. There is no Irish casino licence for anyone yet, so a Malta licence is a reasonable standard, but complaints go to Malta, not to an Irish body.
