Bankonbet is an offshore casino and sportsbook with no Irish licence; AskGamblers attributes it to IGplay under Anjouan and Estonian licences, and its own rules name no licence at all. This Bankonbet review comes down on the side of swerve, chiefly because of the sportsbook.
Bankonbet review: the sportsbook without a GRAI licence
Since 1 July 2026 an online bookmaker taking bets from people in Ireland needs a remote betting licence from the GRAI. Bankonbet is not on the register, and it was not on Revenue's list at 30 June 2026 either. Its rules, section 2.3, do not exclude Ireland, so the site will take Irish bets; it simply has no Irish licence to take them under. The betting section lists bookmakers that do.
The casino and its licences
No casino holds an Irish licence yet, so the question is which foreign one stands behind it. AskGamblers reports an Anjouan Gaming Board licence and one from the Estonian Tax and Customs Board: Anjouan Gaming Board and Estonian Tax and Customs Board (per AskGamblers); no licence stated on the official terms page read. Neither was checked with the regulators, and the operator's terms page states neither. A dispute would end with the operator and, if the licence is real, Anjouan.
Sports markets
Review sources describe a sportsbook alongside the casino. We do not list markets, margins or racing concessions we cannot confirm from the operator. On racing in particular, best odds guaranteed and extra places are worth having only from a bookmaker answerable to an Irish regulator, and Bankonbet is not one.
Withdrawal processing under section 6.15
This is one area the rules do cover. Section 6.15 says withdrawal requests are processed within a stated period: Requests processed within 3 business days (terms 6.15). Processing is not the same as arrival; card and bank transfers add their own days. Game-specific restrictions further into the rules were not fully read, so check them before relying on a bonus or a jackpot win.
Bonus and sister sites
No Bankonbet bonus or no deposit offer is verified. AskGamblers links Bankonbet and AmunRa casino through IGplay, which would make them sister sites; neither operator confirms it on a readable page. Our bonuses page covers offers we can check.
Bankonbet verdict: swerve
Swerve. No Irish licence, no Irish protection, a sportsbook taking Irish bets without the GRAI licence the law now requires, and licences reported only second-hand. No link here.

Readers' questions
- Is Bankonbet licensed in Ireland?
- No. It is not on the GRAI register for betting, and no casino holds an Irish licence yet. Licences reported for it are from Anjouan and Estonia.
- How long do Bankonbet withdrawals take?
- Its rules state a processing period for requests; bank or card transfer time comes on top. The operator, not an Irish body, decides any dispute.
- Does Bankonbet accept Irish players?
- Its excluded-jurisdictions list does not mention Ireland, so it will open an account. That gives the account no Irish protection.
