Betsson in Ireland: casino yes, sportsbook unclear

The detail sits in Betsson's own terms. They name Rizk Nordic Limited as operator for EU customers, "excluding ... sportsbook customers residing in Ireland". Read plainly, Irish casino customers are served by the Malta entity, while Irish sportsbook customers are served by some other company that the terms page does not name.

Betsson AB has claimed an Irish licence. We could not find one: no Betsson entity was on the Revenue register we checked, and none appears on the GRAI register downloaded on 29 October 2026. Until a named company shows up there, we do not describe Betsson's betting product as licensed for Ireland, and a punter weighing the sportsbook should treat that as unresolved.

For the casino the position is cleaner. No online casino anywhere holds an Irish gaming licence, because the GRAI expects to start issuing them in early 2027.
