Billybets Review: A Casino and Sportsbook That Names No Regulator

Billybets accepts Irish residents under its own terms, yet those terms name no licence, no regulator and no operating company. That is reason enough to keep clear.

Billybets: review

Billybets is an offshore casino, with a sportsbook according to review sites, and it has no Irish licence; its own rules page does not name a regulator or an operating company at all. This Billybets review explains why that omission, rather than any single bad term, puts it on our swerve list, even though the terms do not shut out Irish players.

Billybets review: the licence that is not on the page

A licensed operator normally states three things in its footer and terms: the company, the licence number and the regulator. A punter can then look the licence up. Billybets' rules give none of the three in the text we read. Review sites and Trustpilot pages describe an Anjouan licence and connect the brand to a group called Casolinia; other pages claim Curacao. Neither version has been verified on a regulator's register, and the conflict itself is telling. When review sites cannot agree which island licenses a casino, the casino has not made it easy to find out.

The form box beside this review carries the licence field as it stands in our records: Anjouan (per review sites; site footer and terms name no regulator). Treat it as reported, not proven.

Does Billybets accept players from Ireland?

On paper, yes. Section 2.3 of the official rules, headed Excluded Jurisdictions, lists countries including the UK, the Netherlands, Malta, Cyprus, Sweden and Denmark. Ireland is not on the list. That absence is no sign of approval from Dublin: the GRAI has not yet licensed online gaming for anyone, and gaming licences are expected in early 2027.

On the betting side the position is plainer. Since 1 July 2026 an online bookmaker serving people in the State needs a remote betting licence from the GRAI. Billybets is not on that register, and it was not on Revenue's earlier list either. Our licensing guide explains both registers.

The Billybets casino and sportsbook

Review sites describe a casino lobby alongside a sportsbook. Without a readable licence we cannot say who audits the games, who holds player funds or which rules govern a voided bet. Game counts, providers and market depth are therefore left out here. A big lobby is not a substitute for a regulator you can name.

Promo code, free spins and no deposit bonus

We have no verified Billybets promo code, free spins deal or no deposit bonus. Codes circulating on coupon pages are copied from page to page and rarely checked against current terms. An offshore bonus also has a structural weakness: the operator writes the terms and the operator alone enforces them, with no Irish body to hear a complaint about a confiscated balance. For offers from brands that can be checked, see the bonuses section.

Billybets sister sites and the app

The Casolinia connection comes from review sites, not from Billybets, and we could not establish which other brands share it, so none is listed. The same goes for a mobile app: none is confirmed from an operator-linked store listing. Our sister sites page explains how genuine sister brands can be identified through a shared licence holder.

Our verdict on Billybets

Swerve. Billybets holds no Irish licence, Irish law gives its customers no protection, and a dispute would go to an Anjouan regulator if the reported licence is real, or to nobody if it is not. The form line is built on how little can be verified. No link appears on this page and none will while the terms stay silent about who runs the site.

Gambling is restricted to adults, 18+. Extern Problem Gambling offers free support across the island, and our responsible gambling page lists it with other services.

Readers' questions

Who owns Billybets?
The operator's rules do not say. Review sites connect the brand to a group called Casolinia under an Anjouan licence, but that has not been confirmed on a regulator's register.
Can people in Ireland sign up to Billybets?
Its terms do not exclude Ireland. That only means the operator will take an Irish account; it does not give the account any Irish protection, because Billybets has no licence from the GRAI.
Is there a Billybets no deposit bonus?
Not one we could verify. Treat codes on coupon pages with suspicion, and remember that an offshore operator enforces its own bonus terms without outside oversight from Ireland.
