Cobracasino is an offshore casino run by Dama N.V. of Willemstad, Curacao, and it has no Irish licence. The same company was the subject of a formal warning from Australia's media regulator in 2022, which is the main reason this Cobracasino review ends on swerve.
Cobracasino review: owner and licence
Dama N.V. (registration 152125) is named by affiliate reviews as the operator, under a sublicence from Antillephone N.V.'s Curacao master licence 8048/JAZ2020-013. That number has not been checked with the regulator. The operator's site returned an access error to our research and earlier blocked our network outright, so its own footer went unread.
The ACMA warning
In 2022 the Australian Communications and Media Authority issued a formal warning to Dama N.V. covering several of its casinos: Bambet, Dazard, Level Up, Rocketplay, Wild Tornado and Cobra Casino. A warning in one country is not a verdict on service in another, but it shows how the group has dealt with national rules before.
What a Curacao sublicence means
Under Curacao's older system a handful of private master licence holders, Antillephone among them, issued sublicences to operators. Oversight of a brand like Cobracasino ran through that master licensee rather than through a government regulator with its own complaints service. For a player, the practical upshot is a long and uncertain chain between a stuck withdrawal and anyone with power to act on it.
Is Cobracasino legit in Ireland?
No source we found lists Ireland as restricted, though one affiliate page shows an "unavailable in Ireland" banner of its own, so access is uncertain. Either way there is no Irish licence and no Irish protection: Cobracasino is not on the GRAI register, and casino licensing in Ireland is only expected in early 2027. Our licensing guide explains why that matters for complaints.
Bonus, app and withdrawals
We hold no verified Cobracasino bonus, promo code, no deposit offer or free spins, no confirmed app, and no withdrawal times. Figures on affiliate pages could not be traced to the operator, so they stay off this one.
Cobracasino sister sites
The warning itself is the clearest list of sister brands: the casinos named above share an owner. Our sister sites page explains what shared ownership means for terms and disputes.
Cobracasino: the bottom line
Swerve, with no link from us: an unverified sublicence and a regulator's warning against the owner are two reasons too many. Its form line sits at the bottom on licence. Gambling is for adults, 18+; if it is costing more than you meant, our responsible gambling page lists free Irish help.
Readers' questions
- Who owns Cobracasino?
- Dama N.V., registered in Willemstad, Curacao, according to affiliate reviews and a 2022 ACMA warning.
- Can Irish players complain to the GRAI about Cobracasino?
- No. Cobracasino holds no Irish licence and is not on the GRAI register, so a dispute stays with the operator and, at best, its Curacao licensor.
- Is Cobracasino linked to Rocketplay?
- Yes. Both are Dama N.V. brands named in the same 2022 ACMA warning.
