Fitzdares Review: A London Bookmaker With a GRAI Licence
Fitzdares holds a GRAI remote betting licence running from September 2026, so it is licensed in Ireland for betting. Beyond the licence, little about its Irish offer is on the record, hence each-way.

This Fitzdares review can start with the part that is settled: Fitzdares is licensed in Ireland for betting, holding GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-1193-RB-26-0001 in the name of Fitzdares Limited, valid from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2029. What its Irish customers get beyond the licence is far less documented, which is why the verdict is each-way rather than our nap.
The licence, line by line
The GRAI register, downloaded by the desk on 29 October 2026, lists FITZDARES LIMITED for Remote Betting, business to consumer, for the standard three-year term. Before the switch to the new regulator, Fitzdares Limited appeared on Revenue's register of remote bookmakers as at 30 June 2026, under number 1015927 with a London address. The register gives the GRAI licence a start date of 1 September; it does not explain the interval after the Revenue system closed, and we draw nothing from it.
Across the water, the Gambling Commission's public register lists Fitzdares Limited under account 400 for non-remote general betting. The licence record in our operator file reads: GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-1193-RB-26-0001 (FITZDARES LIMITED), valid 2026-09-01 to 2029-08-31.
What the GRAI licence means for an Irish punter
- A regulator at home. The GRAI's complaints, investigation and enforcement powers have been in force since February 2026 and apply to every licence holder.
- Statutory tools. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 lets customers set money limits on remote gambling and bans credit cards and other credit for gambling. Licensees are bound by both.
- Identity and age checks. The 2026 verification regulations apply to every licence holder, so expect proof of age and identity before money moves.
- Tax. The 2% betting duty is the bookmaker's bill, paid to Revenue. Winnings are not taxed in a punter's hands.
Two things the licence does not cover. It is a betting licence only: if Fitzdares offers casino games, those would run under another licence, since GRAI gaming licensing is not expected until early 2027. And the Act's advertising watershed, inducement ban and national self-exclusion register were still awaiting commencement in October 2026. Our licensing explainer has the timetable.
Fitzdares markets, racing and casino
Our file confirms a sportsbook. Racing markets, best odds guaranteed and live betting are not confirmed from a source, and neither is a casino. The official site returned an access error to our fetches, so we could not read its product pages, and we do not fill the gap from reputation. The form line's mid-table figures for markets reflect that uncertainty rather than any known weakness.
Fitzdares app and payments
People do search for a Fitzdares app. No app listing is confirmed in our file, and payment methods are equally unconfirmed. These fields fill in when they are:

Promo code and sign-up offer
No Fitzdares promo code or welcome offer is confirmed for Irish accounts, and we print none. If one is on file it appears here: . The offers we have checked across licensed bookmakers are on the free bets page.
Is Fitzdares legit?
On the question most searchers mean, yes: a named company holds a current GRAI licence, and before that held a Revenue one. Nothing in our file points to regulatory trouble.

Fitzdares review verdict: each-way
The licence is at the top of the scale. Everything else is unverified, and a review that cannot see the product should say so. If the site opens to our checks and the markets, payments and terms stand up, the verdict can move.
