Tonybet Review: An Estonian Bookmaker With an Irish Licence

The licence is in order: Tonybet holds a GRAI remote betting licence. Almost everything else about the Irish product, from the welcome offer to the payment list, remains unconfirmed, so the verdict is watch.

Tonybet: review

Tonybet is licensed in Ireland for betting: the Estonian company Tonybet OU holds a GRAI remote betting licence running from 16 September 2026 to 15 September 2029. That licence covers betting only, and most of what an Irish punter would want to know beyond it could not be confirmed, so this Tonybet review carries more caveats than features.

Its verdict is watch. The paperwork is right; the product, as far as the public record goes, is still a closed door.

Is Tonybet legit in Ireland?

On the question that matters most, yes. The official register of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, downloaded on 29 October 2026, lists Tonybet OU with a Remote Betting licence and Tonybet as its trading name. The reference we hold: GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-0191-RB-26-0001 (Tonybet OU), valid 2026-09-16 to 2029-09-15.

Tonybet did not arrive with the new regime. Before July 2026 the same company appeared on the Revenue register of remote bookmakers, trading as TONYBET.COM. When Revenue stopped issuing those licences, the firm applied to the new regulator and was granted a three-year licence in September.

Legit is a narrower word than it sounds, though. A GRAI licence says the betting side is supervised by an Irish regulator with power to investigate complaints and impose fines. It says nothing about a casino, and nothing about how good the prices or the terms are. Our licensing explainer sets out what the register does and does not prove.

The company on the register

The licence holder is Tonybet OU, a company registered in Estonia. That is the entity the GRAI can act against if something goes wrong with an Irish account, and the name to quote in any complaint. Our research found no confirmed founding date we would print, and no other trading names under the same Irish licence.

Betting duty on Irish stakes is the operator's bill, not yours: 2% of turnover goes to Revenue, and punters pay no tax on winnings.

What the record confirms, and what it does not

Item Position on 29 October 2026
GRAI remote betting licence Confirmed on the official register
Sports betting Confirmed
Horse racing markets, BOG Not confirmed
Casino, live casino, poker Not confirmed; no Irish gaming licence exists for anyone
Welcome offer, promo code Nothing on file
Payment methods, PayPal, withdrawal times Not confirmed
Android and iPhone apps Not confirmed
Deposit limits and other tools Not confirmed beyond the legal duty to offer limits

The gaps have a dull explanation. The operator's site builds its pages with JavaScript, which our research tools could not read, and the brand's Irish country domain does not resolve. Rather than borrow figures from third-party write-ups, we left the fields empty. Its form line reflects that: strong on licence, weak on everything we could not see.

Tonybet betting: sports first, racing unknown

Sports betting is the one product confirmed for Tonybet. Which sports, how deep the markets go on a wet Tuesday at Punchestown or a Munster club final, and whether there is in-play cash out: none of that is on the record yet.

For a racing punter the missing details are the important ones. Before staking, check three things in the operator's own terms: whether Irish and UK racing is priced early, whether a best odds concession applies and on which races, and what each-way terms are offered. Our each-way guide explains standard place terms, so you can tell at a glance whether a bookmaker is paying a quarter or a fifth of the odds.

Tonybet casino and Tonybet poker

Searches for the Tonybet casino outnumber those for the review itself, so it deserves a straight answer. No online casino holds an Irish licence, because the GRAI has not started gaming licensing; it expects to in early 2027. If Tonybet offers casino games to Irish customers, they run under a licence issued somewhere else, and we could not establish which. That leaves an Irish player with no Irish regulator to take a casino complaint to.

The same applies to Tonybet poker. We found no source confirming a poker room for Irish accounts in October 2026. Talk of free spins or a no deposit bonus falls in the same bucket: nothing confirmed, nothing printed.

Welcome offer, bonus and promo code

The welcome offer on our file reads: . The promo code field reads: . If either space is blank, we hold no confirmed offer or code, and any figure you see quoted elsewhere should be checked against the operator's own terms before you deposit.

The Tonybet promo code page explains how bookmaker codes work and which conditions to read first.

Deposits, PayPal and Tonybet withdrawals

We could not confirm a payment list, so a Tonybet PayPal deposit remains a question rather than a fact. Minimum deposit on file: . Withdrawal time on file: .

One rule applies whatever the cashier shows. Since February 2026 the Act bans credit cards and other credit facilities for gambling, so a GRAI licensee should take debit cards and e-wallets funded from your own money, not borrowed money. Before the first withdrawal, expect identity and age checks; licensees have run them under the 2026 verification regulations since July.

Tonybet app and mobile betting

No Irish App Store or Google Play listing could be confirmed. Our Tonybet app page explains how to check whether a listing is genuine and why a downloaded installation file from an unknown host is a poor idea for a betting account.

Tonybet sister sites

The Irish register lists one trading name under Tonybet OU's licence: Tonybet. We found no confirmed sister brand serving Ireland. Lists of so-called sister sites usually group brands by software supplier rather than by owner, which tells you little about who holds your money. Our sister sites guide explains how to read the register instead.

Limits and safer betting

A GRAI licensee must let customers set money limits on remote gambling; that part of the Act has been in force since February. The national self-exclusion register is written into the law but not yet running, so exclusion for now is done brand by brand. Tonybet's own tool list could not be confirmed. Betting is 18+ only, and support in Ireland is listed on our responsible gambling page.

Tonybet review: the verdict

Watch. Tonybet has done the one thing every Irish punter should insist on: it is on the GRAI register for betting. Beyond that, the product is a blank page from where we sit. If you join, read the terms on offers, payments and withdrawals before you lodge a cent, and keep the casino side at arm's length until gaming licensing starts. We will revisit the review when the operator's Irish pages can be read.
