Online Bingo Sites for Irish Players: Who Runs the Rooms

Online bingo in Ireland is played on sites licensed in Gibraltar, Great Britain or Malta, because no Irish licence exists yet. One room clearly accepts Irish players; for the rest, access is inferred rather than stated.

Bingo

The bingo sites open to Irish players all run under foreign licences, because Ireland does not yet issue licences for online gaming, bingo included; the GRAI expects to begin in early 2027. Of the names below, Lucky Pants Bingo is the only one whose terms we have read stating plainly that it serves the Republic of Ireland, which is why it leads our list.

Online bingo itself is the game you know from the hall, called by software rather than a caller with a microphone, with tickets bought for scheduled games and the numbers daubed for you. It is 18+ only, here as anywhere.

Lucky Pants Bingo

Lucky Pants Bingo is operated by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd and, outside Great Britain, licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission. It has been running since January 2013. Its terms make the service available in the Republic of Ireland and rule out credit cards. Besides bingo it offers slots, Slingo and a casino with live tables. The payment methods listed in the terms are Visa debit, Mastercard, PayPal, Paysafecard, Apple Pay and Trustly. Its Gibraltar licence is not an Irish one, and a complaint would go to Gibraltar.

Butlers Bingo and Glossy Bingo

Both are run by Broadway Gaming Limited, an Isle of Man company licensed by the Gambling Commission of Great Britain, whose register gives the group a Dublin head office. Butlers Bingo was launched with the UK and Ireland in mind and offers deposit limits, net deposit limits, a take-a-break option and self-exclusion. The catch is in the terms: they restrict play to Permitted Territories without listing them and use sterling as the primary currency, so Irish acceptance is inferred, not stated. Glossy Bingo sits under the same licence account; its own terms returned no readable text when checked. Both carry a watch verdict until the terms say Ireland in plain words.

Coral Bingo and Ladbrokes Bingo

Both belong to bookmaking groups that hold GRAI remote betting licences, Ladbrokes through LC International Limited and Coral through ElectraWorks Limited. That licence covers betting, not bingo. We could not confirm that either bingo product is open to Irish customers, so they appear on watch and we say no more than that. Betfair once ran a bingo room as well; we could not confirm it still exists.

Online bingo games: 90-ball, 75-ball and the rest

Ninety-ball bingo is the standard game in Ireland and Britain: tickets of three rows and nine columns, and prizes for one line, two lines and a full house. Seventy-five-ball bingo, the American version, uses a five by five card with a free centre square and prizes for set patterns. Online rooms add faster variants with fewer balls and shorter games, and Slingo, a cross between bingo and a slot.

Online, the software marks your numbers automatically, so you cannot miss a call. Most rooms run games on a timetable through the day and evening, with chat hosts and, on some sites, prize pools that grow with the number of tickets sold. A room's prize is often decided by how many players turned up, which is worth checking before you buy a strip of tickets.

Online bingo tonight against a night at the hall

Searches for bingo in Dublin, Crumlin, Limerick or Galway, or for a named club, are usually for a hall session. We do not publish hall timetables; the clubs set their own and change them, and the club itself is the only reliable source. What we can say is how online play differs. A hall night has a fixed cost and a fixed end. An online room is open at any hour and refills its games every few minutes, which is convenient and is also the risk. Set the evening's budget before the first game, not after the third.

Free bingo and bingo bonuses

Free bingo usually means one of two things: a free room for new or regular players with small prizes, or a sign-up offer of free tickets. Both are promotions with terms attached, often a wagering requirement or a cap on winnings, and the details change too often to print here. The bonuses section explains how to read them. Brand new sites tend to lean hardest on these offers; our new bingo sites page looks at what is behind them.

Before you buy a ticket

  • Find the licence holder and regulator in the footer and match them to the brand.
  • Check the terms for the Republic of Ireland, and for euro, before depositing.
  • Look for sister sites: one company often runs several bingo brands on one platform, and self-exclusion may need doing on each.
  • Set a deposit limit at sign-up. Credit cards cannot be used with Irish licensees; treat a foreign site that still takes them with suspicion.

Offshore bingo sites on Curacao licences are left off this page entirely: no Irish licence, no Irish protection and no route for a complaint that ends anywhere near home. If bingo stops being a pastime, our responsible gambling page lists free support services in Ireland.

Readers' questions

Are bingo sites licensed in Ireland?
No. Online bingo is gaming, and the GRAI has issued only betting licences so far, with gaming licensing expected in early 2027. Bingo sites serving Irish players hold foreign licences.
Which online bingo site accepts Irish players?
Lucky Pants Bingo, licensed in Gibraltar, states in its terms that its service is available in the Republic of Ireland. For several other brands Irish access is inferred rather than stated.
What is the difference between 90-ball and 75-ball bingo?
90-ball uses three-row tickets with prizes for one line, two lines and a full house. 75-ball uses a five by five card and pays for patterns.
Does the site list bingo hall times in Dublin or Galway?
No. Halls set and change their own sessions, so check with the club directly.
