Best Payout Casinos: Highest Payout Means Game Choice

The highest payout online casino is the one where you pick high-return games and avoid low-return ones. Casino-wide payout percentages are averages of averages; the game in front of you sets your odds.

Best payout

The best payout casino for an Irish player is less about the brand than the games: a casino's payout percentage is an average across everything it offers, and your own expected return depends on which games you play. Pick games with a high published return to player (RTP), avoid the low ones, and choose a casino that shows the figure in each game's help screen.

The casinos below are ranked on licence and terms, since RTP is set game by game. None of them is licensed in Ireland, because the GRAI does not yet issue gaming licences; each holds a licence from Malta, Great Britain or Gibraltar instead.

Form reads licence, markets, payments, safer-play tools, terms; 1 is best. How we rate. 18+ only.

A higher return is a smaller expected loss, not a profit. These casinos are 18+ only; if you find yourself chasing a payout percentage, read our safer gambling page before the next session.

Lucky Pants Bingo, run by Rank Interactive (Gibraltar) Ltd, heads the card on the clarity of its terms. 32Red Casino follows from a group that holds a GRAI betting licence, then Karamba Casino, whose operator held a Revenue one. Mr Vegas, a Videoslots brand, and Megarush, under the Malta Gaming Authority, complete it; Megarush is also the only one here that publishes payout times by method.

Payout percentage and RTP: what the numbers say

Return to player is the share of all money staked on a game that it pays back over a very long run, as calculated by the game provider. A slot with a 96% RTP returns, in theory, EUR 96 for every EUR 100 staked across millions of spins. The other EUR 4 is the house edge. Over one evening the result can be anything; the figure only describes the long run.

A worked example. Ten thousand spins at EUR 0.10 is EUR 1,000 staked. At 96% the theoretical return is EUR 960, an expected cost of EUR 40. At 94% it is EUR 940, an expected cost of EUR 60. Same stake, same time, 50% more expected cost on the lower-return game. That gap, not the casino's logo, is where the highest payout comes from.

Highest paying casino games, roughly ranked

Game House edge Why
Blackjack, standard rules played correctly Low, varies with rules Rules such as how many decks and what the dealer does on soft 17 move the edge; the table's help screen sets them out.
Baccarat, banker bet Low The banker bet carries a commission, but it remains the lowest-edge bet on the table.
European roulette 2.70% One zero in 37 pockets: 1 divided by 37.
Slots Varies widely Set by the provider; check the help screen of each game.
American roulette 5.26% Two zeros in 38 pockets: 2 divided by 38.
Game shows and side bets Often higher Entertainment priced in; see the individual game rules.

The blackjack guide explains which rules help the player. For slots, the high RTP slots page lists games with their provider-published figures.

The same slot, a different payout

Game providers often release a slot in more than one RTP setting, and the casino chooses which version to run. The game looks identical; the return differs. That is why the best payout slots question has no single answer across all casinos. The fix is simple: open the game's information or paytable screen at the casino where you play, and read the RTP shown there. If a casino hides the figure, treat that as an answer in itself.

Best payout versus fast payout

Two different things share the word. "Best payout" is about RTP and house edge. "Fast payout" is about how quickly the cashier sends your money, which depends on verification, pending periods and the payment method. Our fast withdrawal casinos page covers the second. A casino can score well on one and badly on the other.

Best payout casino claims and site-wide percentages

Some casinos advertise a site-wide payout percentage, sometimes with an auditor's certificate. Read it for what it is: a historical average across every game and every player over a period. It tells you little about the game you choose tonight, and a casino heavy on low-edge table games will post a higher figure than one heavy on slots without being any kinder to slot players. Game-level RTP is the useful number. Where a regulator requires audited figures, they are a check that the games behave as published, which is worth having, but they are not a ranking of generosity.

Why the licence still comes first

Return to player only matters if the casino pays what the game says you won. That depends on the regulator. Malta, British and Gibraltar licences require certified games and give players a complaints route; offshore licences offer far less on both counts. That is why the card is ordered by licence and terms clarity, and why no offshore brand appears on it whatever RTP it claims.

Readers' questions

Which online casino has the highest payout?
Payout depends on the games you choose more than the casino. Pick games with a high published RTP and low house edge, at a casino with a solid foreign licence, since none is licensed in Ireland yet.
What does a 96% RTP mean?
Over a very long run the game returns EUR 96 for every EUR 100 staked. In a single session the result can be far higher or lower.
Is European roulette better than American roulette?
Yes, on the numbers. One zero gives a house edge of 2.70%, two zeros give 5.26%, so the single-zero wheel costs about half as much per euro staked.
Can a casino change a slot RTP?
Casinos can choose between RTP versions a provider offers, which is why the same slot may return differently at two sites. Check the figure in the game help screen.
