Axe Casino Review: Two Offshore Licences Claimed, Neither Shown

Third parties cannot agree whether Axe Casino answers to Anjouan or Curacao, and the site itself keeps its footer out of view. Both answers mean no Irish protection. Swerve.

Axe Casino: review

Axe Casino is an offshore casino with no Irish licence, and this Axe Casino review recommends against it. The two accounts of who licenses it point to Anjouan or Curacao, the operator's own pages did not confirm either, and in both cases an Irish player would have no Irish regulator to turn to.

One detail set the tone early. The site served our research a geographic block page, carrying no company or licence text at all. We left it there.

Who runs Axe Casino

Two stories circulate. An affiliate directory names Novatrix SRL under a licence from the Autonomous Island of Anjouan. A separate review names Dama N.V. under a Curacao Gaming Control Board licence. The operator record keeps both: Offshore, conflicting: Anjouan (per StatsDrone and Topend Sports) or Curacao GCB OGL/2023/174/0082 (per one review); not verified on operator page.

The names matter because they link Axe to other brands. Our files tie Novatrix SRL to Winz and BetandPlay, and Dama N.V. to a long list of Curacao casinos including RocketPlay, PlayAmo and The Clubhouse Casino. Every one of them is rated swerve. Those are the Axe Casino sister sites in practice, though which family it belongs to is not settled.

Axe Casino and Irish licensing

Ireland does not yet license online casinos. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland issues betting licences only, with gaming licensing expected in early 2027, so no casino can claim Irish approval today. Axe Casino falls further outside than most: it lacks even a European licence. If a withdrawal is refused, your recourse is a complaint to an offshore body, if the licence is valid and if that body takes complaints from players. Our guide to licensing explains the gap.

One trade site lists Axe among offshore casinos that take Irish players, and no source shows Ireland on a restricted list. Acceptance is likely; protection is absent.

If the site will not open

Some readers find the site does not load. A block page can come from the operator choosing to keep a country out, or, under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, from a court order against an unlicensed provider. Either way it is a signal to stop, not a puzzle to solve. We do not publish replacement addresses, and a casino that needs you to find one is not one to trust with a deposit.

Axe Casino bonus and promo codes

Searches cover a sign-up bonus, a no deposit bonus and promo codes. We could not confirm any offer against the operator's terms. Offer on file: . Code on file: . At an offshore casino the bonus terms are enforced by the casino alone, and wagering disputes rarely go the player's way. Read our promo codes guide for the questions to ask of any code.

Axe Casino app and cashier

No app listing, payment list or withdrawal timetable was readable. We will not guess at them. If you see figures elsewhere, ask where they came from.

Axe's footer was hidden from us, but the test applies to any casino you are weighing up. A regulated site shows three things at the bottom of every page:

  • the legal name of the company that holds the licence, with its registration number;
  • the regulator and licence number, ideally linked to the regulator's own register;
  • where complaints go if the casino's own process fails.

A seal that links nowhere, a brand name in place of a company, or a licence that changes depending on who is describing it are each reasons to leave. Axe Casino, on the evidence we have, fails on the last count before the others are tested.

Is Axe Casino legit?

It may operate as a real business and pay many customers. Legitimate in the sense an Irish punter needs, with a named operator answerable to a regulator that hears your complaint, it is not. Its form line gives the lowest licence mark we use.

Axe Casino review verdict

Swerve, no link. If you want a casino, start from those with a Malta or UK licence on our casinos page.

For adults only, 18+. Decide a stake limit before you start and keep to it; our responsible gambling page has free Irish support listed.

Readers' questions

What licence does Axe Casino hold?
Sources conflict: one says Anjouan through Novatrix SRL, another says Curacao through Dama N.V. Neither was confirmed on the operator's own pages, and both are offshore.
Does Axe Casino accept players from Ireland?
Probably. No source shows Ireland as restricted and one trade site lists it as taking Irish players, but that brings no Irish protection.
Why does the Axe Casino site not open for me?
The operator may block some countries, or access may be restricted by order. We do not offer alternative addresses; treat a block as a reason to play elsewhere.
