Casino Promo Codes: What a Bonus Code Does and Where to Find It
A casino promo code is a key, not a gift. It tells the operator which offer to apply, and the offer behind it, with its own terms, is what you should be judging.

A casino promo code is a short word or string you enter at registration or deposit to claim a specific offer. It does not make the offer better; it identifies it, and the bonus that follows carries the same wagering and limits as any other.
How casino promo codes work
Operators use codes for three reasons: to tie an offer to a marketing channel, to run a promotion only for a defined group, and to let a player choose between offers. A casino deposit bonus code might unlock a matched bonus; a no deposit code might trigger registration spins; a reload code might apply a weekly offer for existing customers. Many casinos now apply welcome offers without any code, and one is needed only where the terms say so.
Where to enter a bonus code
- At registration, in a field usually labelled promo code, bonus code or referral code.
- At the cashier, before confirming a deposit.
- On the promotions page, by opting in and entering the code there.
Enter the code before the qualifying action. A code typed after the deposit has cleared rarely works, and support teams are not obliged to add the bonus afterwards. Type it exactly as published, since codes are often case-sensitive, and keep a screenshot of the offer page in case the credit does not appear.

Bingo bonus codes
Codes for bookmakers' bingo rooms, Paddy Power and Ladbrokes especially, are a frequent search. Bingo is gaming, and like casino play it has no Irish licence yet: a bookmaker's GRAI licence covers its sportsbook, not its bingo. We could not confirm that Ladbrokes, Coral or Betfair currently offer bingo to Irish accounts, so check availability before chasing a code. Our bingo section covers the sites that do.
Why most codes found online fail
- Expired. Codes run for a campaign and stop working when it ends.
- Wrong market. Many belong to British offers or to US-facing casinos that do not accept Irish players at all.
- Single use. A welcome code works once per person, household or device, according to the operator's terms.
- Offshore. Coupon lists of no deposit codes are full of casinos licensed in Curacao or Anjouan, or not licensed at all. A code from them leads to an account with no Irish protection.
We publish a code only when it matches an offer in the operator's own terms for Ireland. Codes attributed to offshore and US-only casinos are outside what we can check, and we leave them out.
Referral codes and invitations
Some casinos give each customer a referral code to share with friends. The new player gets an offer and the existing one a reward once the friend deposits or plays. The terms usually exclude anyone at the same address, card or device, and treat referrals between linked accounts as abuse. Referral schemes are also a marketing channel run through people you know, which is worth bearing in mind before passing a code on to someone who has had trouble with gambling.
Codes for existing customers
Reload and loyalty codes are sent by email, in the app or on the promotions page, usually to a defined group. A code for existing customers that you find posted publicly may not apply to your account; the terms will limit it to invited players. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 contains a ban on targeted inducements of exactly this kind, though as of October 2026 its commencement is unconfirmed and no implementing regulations have been reported.
