No Deposit Bonus Guide: Casino Credits, Spins and Free Bets

A no deposit bonus is a small casino credit, a batch of free spins or a free bet given for registering, with no payment required. Know the catch in advance: the bonus is capped, wagered and released only after an identity check, and the casino behind it holds a foreign licence, because Ireland has no online casino licence yet.

Three kinds of no deposit bonus

Casino bonus without deposit

A fixed sum of bonus money appears in your account after registration. It can be played on eligible games, usually slots, and must be wagered before any winnings turn to cash. A maximum withdrawal almost always applies. Table games and live casino are often excluded or weighted at a fraction.

No deposit free spins

The most common form: a batch of spins on one slot, at the minimum stake, with winnings wagered or capped. Our free spins no deposit page works through the arithmetic for typical batch sizes.

Free bets with no deposit required

The sportsbook version. A bookmaker credits a free bet token on registration, to be used on a market at or above stated minimum odds. When it wins, the stake is not returned with the winnings. In Ireland these come from GRAI-licensed bookmakers, so they sit under an Irish licence in a way no casino offer can. As a worked example: a EUR 10 no deposit bonus at 50x wagering asks for EUR 500 in stakes. On a slot paying back 96% on average, that turnover costs about EUR 20 in expectation, twice the bonus. A EUR 100 cashout cap would then trim any larger win that survived. These figures are illustrative, not any operator's terms.

No deposit bonus codes

Some casinos attach a no deposit offer to a code entered at registration; others apply it to every new account. A code does not improve the terms, it only identifies the offer. A minimum deposit casino as the alternative

Searches for a minimum casino deposit often come from players who would rather put in a small sum than accept a no deposit bonus's conditions. That can be the better route: a small cash deposit has no wagering and no cap, and can be withdrawn whenever you like. The table shows the minimum each operator states, where we have it on file; a blank cell means its terms do not give one we could read.

No deposit casino offers and the offshore problem

The largest no deposit headlines aimed at Ireland come mostly from casinos licensed in Curacao, Anjouan or Kahnawake, or showing no licence at all. With those sites, a withheld withdrawal has no Irish regulator behind it and often no effective foreign one either. We do not list them and we do not link to them. A no deposit bonus from a casino under the Malta Gaming Authority, the Gibraltar Gambling Commission or the UK Gambling Commission is smaller, but there is someone to complain to.

What the law says now and later

Free bets and bonuses fall within the Gambling Regulation Act 2024's definition of an inducement, and the Act bans inducements aimed at a person or a specific group. Whether that section has commenced is unconfirmed, and no regulations restricting offers to the public had been reported by October 2026. Casino licensing by the GRAI is expected in early 2027; until then, no deposit offers run under each operator's own terms.
