LVbet Review: A Revenue Licence That Ran Out of Road

LVbet's Maltese operator was on Revenue's list of remote bookmakers when the old regime closed, but it is missing from the GRAI register. It is not licensed in Ireland today. Verdict: watch.

LVbet: review

LVbet is not licensed in Ireland as of 29 October 2026. Its operator, Fairload Limited of Valletta, Malta, appeared on Revenue's register of remote bookmakers at 30 June 2026 but is absent from the GRAI register that replaced it. This LVbet review explains what that means for an Irish punter, and why the verdict is watch rather than swerve.

Betting with LVbet, or anyone else, is for over-18s only (18+).

From Revenue to the GRAI

Until the end of June 2026, online bookmakers serving Ireland held a remote bookmaker's licence from Revenue. Fairload Limited held one, trading as LV BET; the reference on file is Revenue remote bookmaker's licence 1016541 (Fairload Limited); MGA (reported at 2016 launch). Since 1 July 2026 they have needed a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland instead, and Revenue no longer issues the old one.

The GRAI register downloaded on 29 October 2026 lists a few dozen betting licences. Neither Fairload Limited nor LV BET is among them. There are innocent explanations, from an application still in the queue to a decision to leave the Irish market, but none is confirmed. The present position is not in doubt: no Irish licence. Our licensing explainer sets out the switchover in detail.

The Malta side of LVbet

LVbet launched in 2016 under Malta Gaming Authority licences, according to trade press at the time. The current MGA register entry was not checked, so we treat the Malta licence as reported rather than confirmed. An MGA licence is a serious foreign licence. It is not an Irish licence, and it gives an Irish betting customer no route to the GRAI.

Is LVbet open to Irish customers?

That is unknown. The official site could not be reached by our research tools, so products, offers, payment methods and whether Irish sign-ups are accepted all remain unconfirmed. Sports betting is the one product the record supports; casino, live casino and racing are blank.

That uncertainty is why there is no button on this page. A bookmaker that cannot be checked is not one we send readers to, however tidy its past paperwork.

LVbet promo code, free spins and welcome offer

Irish searches for the brand lean hard on offers: a promo code, a no deposit bonus code, 30 free spins, a welcome bonus. Our file holds none of them. Welcome offer: . Code: . Codes for this brand circulating online often date from earlier years or other markets.

One change is coming regardless. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 contains a ban on targeted inducements, a term wide enough to cover free bets and bonuses. That section is not yet in force, but any bookmaker returning to Ireland under a GRAI licence will in time work within it. Our no deposit bonus page explains how such offers work under the present rules.

LVbet app and withdrawals

No Android or iOS app is confirmed on our file, and we hold no withdrawal times or payment list. Anyone with an old LVbet account and a balance should contact the operator and ask, in writing, how withdrawals are handled for Irish customers now that it holds no Irish licence.

LVbet sister sites

Fairload Limited is the company to trace. We found no confirmed sister brand under the same licence; our sister sites guide shows how the tracing works.

LVbet review: the verdict

Watch. Its form line credits a record of proper regulation in Malta and, until June, in Ireland; the rest is held at average because the product could not be seen. If LVbet appears on the GRAI register, this page will be updated. Until then, Irish punters have plenty of bookmakers that are on it, ranked in our betting guide. Free support for anyone struggling is listed on the responsible gambling page.
