Sportaza Review: Racing Prices From Anjouan, Not From Ireland

Sportaza offers sport, racing, casino and live casino under an Anjouan licence held by a Costa Rican company. It is not licensed to take bets from Ireland, and we would not bet there.

Sportaza: review

Sportaza is a sportsbook and casino owned by Rocketship Ventures S.R.L. of San Jose, Costa Rica, and licensed by the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan under licence ALSI-202606064-FI2. It holds no Irish licence, and since it takes bets on sport and racing, that matters more here than it would for a casino alone: this Sportaza review rates it swerve.

Sportaza ownership and licence

Unlike several offshore brands we cover, Sportaza does print its details. The footer names Rocketship Ventures S.R.L., registration 3-102-921894, and the Anjouan licence number above. That is better than silence. It is still an Anjouan licence, from a regulator with no presence in Irish disputes and a light touch on supervision.

The same company and the same licence number appear on our file for 7Signs, which makes the two sister sites in the plain sense of the term. Neither has an Irish or EU licence.

Sportaza in Ireland: the betting licence it lacks

Sportaza is first a bookmaker, and that is where Irish law bites. Since 1 July 2026 a remote bookmaker serving people in Ireland needs a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. Sportaza is not on the GRAI register, and it was not on the Revenue register of remote bookmakers at 30 June 2026 either.

The terms tell their own story. Section 2.3 excludes the United Kingdom and the United States, among others. Ireland is not excluded. A bookmaker that keeps out of Great Britain but stays open to Irish punters is choosing where it expects a regulator to come knocking.

The casino side faces a different gap: no Irish casino licence exists for anyone until gaming licensing starts, expected in early 2027. Our licensing guide sets out both regimes.

Racing and sports betting

Racing appears among Sportaza's products, along with live casino. Whether it offers best odds guaranteed or extra places is not on our file. For an Irish racing punter the question is simpler than the market list: if a bet is settled wrongly, who hears the complaint? At Sportaza it is the company, then Anjouan. At a GRAI-licensed firm it is the company, then an Irish regulator with power to fine. The BOG bookmakers on our list, every one of them on the GRAI register, are the like-for-like alternative.

Settlement rules are worth a look too. A bookmaker sets out in its terms how it handles non-runners, dead heats and palpable errors. Under a GRAI licence those rules sit inside a regulated framework; under an Anjouan licence they are whatever the operator last published, and they can change with no outside approval.

Withdrawals

The terms put withdrawal processing at Processed within 3 business days of the request (Mon-Fri 6 AM-5 PM GMT), subject to checks. That window is the operator's own commitment, checked by nobody in Ireland. Payment methods and minimum deposits were not confirmed.

Sportaza bonus, promo code and no deposit offers

Bonus and promo code searches are common for this brand, including for a Sportaza casino no deposit bonus. None is on our file, and we do not publish offers for a bookmaker we rate swerve. The Act's controls on inducements are written but not yet in force, and they will bind licensees, not Anjouan operators.

Sportaza app

No app in the official Irish stores is on our file. The site works in a mobile browser.

Sportaza review verdict

Swerve. Sportaza is open about its owner and licence, and the licence is the problem: Anjouan, not Ireland, for a bookmaker taking Irish bets on sport and racing.

All betting is strictly 18+. For limits, time-outs and free Irish support services, see the responsible gambling page.

Readers' questions

Is Sportaza legal in Ireland?
It is not on the GRAI register, which an online bookmaker serving Ireland has needed since 1 July 2026. It runs under an Anjouan licence.
Does Sportaza accept players from Ireland?
Section 2.3 of its terms excludes the UK and the US but not Ireland, so it appears to. Irish protections do not come with the account.
Who owns Sportaza?
Rocketship Ventures S.R.L. of San Jose, Costa Rica, registration 3-102-921894, per the site footer.
What are the Sportaza sister sites?
Our file lists 7Signs under the same company and the same Anjouan licence number.
Does Sportaza have a promo code?
None is on our file. A code would not change the licence position, which is the reason for our verdict.
