Sportsbet.io Review: A Sportsbook Without an Irish Betting Licence

Sportsbet.io takes bets under an Anjouan licence, with a Curacao licence cited elsewhere. Since July 2026 bookmakers serving Ireland need a GRAI licence, and it has none. Swerve.

Sportsbet.io: review

Sportsbet.io is an offshore betting brand whose main licence, according to register data, is an Anjouan one held by EZ Spins Ltd; a crypto directory cites a Curacao licence held by mBet Solutions N.V. instead. Neither is an Irish licence, the brand is not on the GRAI register, and this Sportsbet.io review rates it swerve.

Sportsbet.io review: two licences, both offshore

Register data lists Sportsbet.io under Anjouan licence ALSI-202509076-FI2, held by EZ Spins Ltd. A crypto industry directory names mBet Solutions N.V. and Curacao licence OGL/2023/110/0072. The disagreement matters less than what the two have in common: both are offshore, and neither gives an Irish customer an Irish route to complain.

Sportsbet.io in Ireland: the betting licence gap

This is where a sportsbook differs from a casino. Since 1 July 2026 any bookmaker taking bets from people in Ireland needs a GRAI remote betting licence, and the GRAI register on 29 October 2026 does not include Sportsbet.io or either company above. The directory's restricted list of 46 countries includes the UK, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey but not Ireland. The site returned a 403 error, so its own terms were not read. Our betting section lists only bookmakers on the GRAI register.

The register is not a formality. A GRAI licensee must let customers set money limits on remote betting, may not accept credit cards for gambling and can be fined by the regulator. A book outside the register answers to none of that in Ireland; the Act instead lets the High Court order blocks on unlicensed operators' websites, payments and advertising.

Sportsbet.io bonus, app and withdrawals

Searches for a Sportsbet.io bonus, promo code, app and withdrawal times are all in the mix. We publish none of those details: the terms could not be read, and an offer from an operator outside Irish supervision rests on its own goodwill. Payouts, limits and the payment list are unconfirmed.

Is Sportsbet.io legit?

The name draws steady searches from Ireland. What it lacks is what matters to an Irish punter: no GRAI licence, a licence trail that leads to Anjouan or Curacao, and no Irish body to hear a complaint. Swerve; we do not link to it. Our licensing guide explains how to check the register yourself.
