Vave Review: Anjouan Paperwork, a Nameless Company and a Dutch Warning
Vave is an offshore casino listed by a crypto directory under an Anjouan licence, run by an unnamed Costa Rican company. The Dutch regulator has already ordered it out. No Irish licence; we would swerve.

Vave is an offshore casino brand that, according to a crypto industry directory, holds an Anjouan licence with no published number and is run by a company registered in Costa Rica whose name is not given. It has no Irish licence and offers an Irish customer no Irish protection; this Vave review rates it swerve.
Vave review: the licence and the operator
Anjouan is one of the islands of the Comoros, and its gaming licences are widely seen as a light-touch option for online casinos. Vave's licence number is not published, and the operating company is described only as registered in Costa Rica. A licence without a number and an operator without a name leave a customer with nothing to look up.
Searches for Vave bet suggest a sportsbook as well as a casino, which the site did not let us confirm. Any betting product would need a GRAI remote betting licence to serve Ireland, and Vave is absent from the register, as it is from Revenue's older bookmaker list. Its casino could hold no Irish licence in any case before gaming licensing begins. Our licensing guide sets out the rules.

Vave and the Dutch cease-and-desist
In April 2025 the Dutch regulator, the Kansspelautoriteit, issued a cease-and-desist against the site, the tool it uses against operators serving Dutch players without a Dutch licence. That is an action by a national regulator against the operator, and it is the clearest fact on our file. Ireland is not on Vave's published restricted list, which means the site may accept Irish sign-ups; it does not mean any Irish body supervises it.
Vave crypto deposits and withdrawals
Vave sits in a crypto industry directory, and searches for the brand often add the word crypto. The payment list itself was not confirmed. Where a site does take crypto, it removes the card issuer and the bank from the chain, and with them the chargeback and the paper trail a customer might otherwise lean on. Withdrawal times, limits and the coin list were not confirmed; the site showed only a loading screen to our reader. Our page on crypto casinos covers the wider risks.
Vave bonus, promo code and app
A Vave promo code and a no deposit bonus are the usual follow-up searches. We publish no Vave offer. A bonus from an operator nobody can name is enforceable only on the operator's terms, and those terms could not be read. The same goes for the app: no listing is on our file, and an app installed from outside the official stores carries its own risks.
Vave sister sites
Searches for Vave sister sites have nothing solid to land on. Sister brands are defined by a shared owner, and Vave's owner is not named in any source we found. A list that pairs it with other crypto casinos by design is guesswork. The sister sites page sets out the evidence we require.
Is Vave legit?
It is a trading site with a regulator's order against it; that is as far as the evidence goes. An unnumbered Anjouan licence, an unnamed operator and a Dutch order against it make a weak form line and a clear verdict: swerve. There is no link to Vave from this page, and none will be added unless the licence and the operator are both put on the record.

Readers' questions
- Is Vave licensed in Ireland?
- No. Vave is reported to hold an Anjouan licence with no published number and is not on the GRAI register.
- Who owns Vave?
- A company registered in Costa Rica, not named in the sources we could find.
- Why did the Dutch regulator act against Vave?
- The KSA, the Dutch gambling regulator, issued a cease-and-desist against the site in April 2025. Such orders target operators serving Dutch players without a Dutch licence.
- Does Vave accept Irish players?
- Ireland is not on its published restricted list, so it may. That gives Irish customers no Irish protection.
