Big Bass Splash Slot Review: The Sequel With Extra Bait

The Big Bass Splash slot is a five-reel, ten-line fishing slot from Pragmatic Play and the sequel to Big Bass Bonanza. In short: the base game is quiet, and nearly everything that matters happens in free spins, where a fisherman wild scoops up the cash values printed on fish symbols.

That makes it a game of long dry spells and the odd burst. Nobody can tell you when the burst arrives. A random number generator settles every spin, and each one is independent of the last.

How the Big Bass Splash slot plays

Three or more scatters open the free spins round. During the feature, fish land carrying money values, and any fisherman on the same spin collects the lot. Gather enough fishermen and the round retriggers, with a higher multiplier applied to fish values on each step up the ladder. Anyone who played the original will know the drill. What Splash adds is a set of random modifiers that can fire as the feature starts, putting more fish or more fishermen on the reels, or pushing the round further up that ladder.

Finding the Big Bass Splash RTP

We do not print a return-to-player figure for this game, and you should be wary of anyone who prints only one. Providers commonly supply the same title at more than one RTP setting, and the casino picks which to run. The figure that applies to you sits in the game's own information screen at the casino where you open it. Read it there before staking. A casino that makes it hard to find is telling you something. For what a few points of RTP are worth over a session, see our high RTP slots page.

The big bass splash demo, and what it cannot tell you

Demo mode is far and away the most searched version of this game in Ireland. It runs the same maths with play credits, which is useful for learning where the features sit. It is useless for predicting anything. Many casinos only show the demo after you log in and confirm your age, and some show none at all. Demo credits cannot be withdrawn, and we carry no demo here.

Bonus buy on Big Bass Splash

Some builds of the game sell direct entry to free spins at a fixed multiple of your stake. Whether that button appears depends on the casino and on the regulator behind it; several do not permit feature buys at all. Paying up front for one round means one large stake on one outcome, and the round can pay back less than it cost. Count the price as a bet, because that is what it is.

Playing from Ireland: whose rules apply

No casino holds an Irish gaming licence, because none has been issued. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland licenses betting now and expects to begin licensing gaming in early 2027. Until then, any site offering this slot to Irish players does so on a licence from Malta, Great Britain or somewhere else, and a complaint goes to that regulator. Our licensing explainer covers the detail, and the casinos page ranks brands open to Ireland by the quality of that foreign licence.

The game turns up often in free-spins promotions. Before taking one, check the value of each spin, the wagering on winnings and any cap on withdrawals; our free spins guide walks through each line of the small print.

Our line on Big Bass Splash

A tidy sequel that changes little and does not pretend otherwise. If the original kept you amused, the modifiers add some variety. If it bored you, this will too. Play is for adults aged 18+ only. Decide your spend before the first spin, and if sticking to it becomes a struggle, our safer gambling page lists Irish support.
