Gates of Olympus Super Scatter Slot Review: Zeus With an Extra Symbol
Pragmatic Play's newer pass at its Greek-gods hit keeps the pay-anywhere grid and Zeus's multiplier orbs, and adds a super scatter. Read the paytable for what that symbol pays before you chase it.

The Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot is a Pragmatic Play edition of its Gates of Olympus slot, played on the familiar six-by-five grid with pay-anywhere wins, tumbles and Zeus's multiplier orbs. The addition is a super scatter symbol, which sits alongside the ordinary scatters and can award more than the standard free spins trigger; the paytable sets out exactly what.
If you know the original, you know nine-tenths of this game. The remaining tenth is in the rules screen.
How the Gates of Olympus Super Scatter slot works
Eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay, with no lines to follow. Winning symbols vanish and new ones tumble in. Multiplier orbs can land on any spin; when a tumble sequence ends, their values are added together and applied to the total win for that sequence. Scatters trigger free spins, where multipliers accumulate across the round. The super scatter changes what a scatter landing can be worth, which is why the paytable matters more here than on the original.
Super Scatter, 1000, original: which Zeus?
Pragmatic now runs several editions on the same frame. The Gates of Olympus 1000 edition raises the multiplier ceiling. The Super Scatter edition changes the scatter instead. Each has its own return-to-player settings and its own volatility profile, and the figures do not carry across.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo
The demo accounts for most of the searches for this game. It is the cheapest way to see how often the super scatter turns up, which is to say rarely. It cannot predict anything. Casinos increasingly show demo play only after login and age verification.
RTP and the buy feature
Pragmatic supplies its games at more than one RTP setting, and the casino picks. We do not print a figure for this edition; open the help screen at your casino and read the one that applies. Where a bonus buy is offered, it is priced as a multiple of stake and may have its own RTP. Some regulators do not permit feature buys, so availability varies by casino.
For Irish players: the regulator question
There is no Irish licence for online slots. The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland licenses only betting so far and expects to begin gaming licensing in early 2027. A casino offering this game to Irish customers relies on a licence from Malta, Great Britain or another jurisdiction, and an unresolved dispute would go there. See our licensing explainer.
Our take on the super scatter edition
A competent variation that adds one symbol and one more reason to read the rules. Fans of the original will find it familiar; newcomers should start with the base game. Adults aged 18+ only. Set a limit before you spin and stick to it; our safer gambling page has the tools and Irish contacts.
Readers' questions
- What is the super scatter in Gates of Olympus Super Scatter?
- A special scatter symbol added to the original game's scatters. What it awards is set out in the paytable at your casino.
- Is the Gates of Olympus Super Scatter demo the same as the real game?
- It runs the same game with play credits. Results are random and demo credits have no cash value.
- Does Gates of Olympus Super Scatter have a bonus buy in Ireland?
- It depends on the casino and its regulator. Casinos serving Irish players hold foreign licences, and some of those regulators do not permit feature buys.
