Sugar Rush 1000 Slot Review: The Bigger-Multiplier Remake
Pragmatic Play's remake of Sugar Rush keeps the seven-by-seven cluster grid and multiplier spots, with higher multiplier ceilings. More reach means a wider spread of results, in both directions.

The Sugar Rush 1000 slot is Pragmatic Play's remake of its cluster-pays game Sugar Rush, built on the same seven-by-seven grid of sweets. The difference is in the ceiling: the multiplier spots that build up on the grid can climb higher than in the original, which stretches the range of possible results.
A wider range means bigger outliers at the top and, to pay for them, more ordinary spins that return little. That trade is what the "1000" label signals across Pragmatic's catalogue.
How the Sugar Rush 1000 slot pays
Wins come from clusters of matching sweets touching horizontally or vertically, not from lines. A winning cluster is cleared and new symbols tumble in from above, so one spin can produce a chain of wins. Each position where a winning symbol exploded is marked; if another win lands on a marked spot, a multiplier appears there and doubles with each further hit, up to the game's cap. In free spins the marks stay on the grid for the whole round, which is where the large results come from.
Sugar Rush 1000 versus the original
Same grid, same tumbling clusters, same marking system. The remake raises the multiplier cap and, as a consequence, shifts the game's volatility. If the original felt swingy, this one is more so. Neither is a better bet; they are differently shaped bets. Check each game's rules screen for the published figures rather than assuming they match.
The Sugar Rush 1000 demo
The demo draws most of the searches for this title, by a distance. On a cluster game with sticky multipliers it does have some value: you can see how marks build and how rarely a free spins round fills the grid. It cannot tell you when a real round will land. Expect most casinos to ask you to log in and verify your age before showing it.
RTP and bonus buy
Pragmatic distributes its games at more than one return-to-player setting, so we do not print one number for this game. The help screen at your casino shows the setting in use. The Sugar Rush 1000 bonus buy, where offered, sells the free spins round at a fixed multiple of stake, and may carry a slightly different RTP from the base game; the rules say. Some regulators ban feature buys outright, and whether you see one depends on the casino's licence.
The Irish angle
Online casino gaming has no Irish licence yet: the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland, licensing bookmakers since 1 July 2026, expects to start on gaming in early 2027. Casinos offering this slot to Irish players hold foreign licences, mostly Maltese or British. Our licensing page covers where complaints go meanwhile.
Is it worth the sugar?
For players who enjoyed the original and want more reach, yes, at a smaller stake than you used before, to allow for longer dry spells. For newcomers, the original is the gentler introduction. 18+ only. A loss limit set before you start is the best feature any slot has; our safer gambling page explains how to set one.
Readers' questions
- What is the difference between Sugar Rush and Sugar Rush 1000?
- Both use a seven-by-seven cluster-pays grid with multiplier spots. Sugar Rush 1000 raises the multiplier cap, which makes results more spread out.
- How do multiplier spots work in Sugar Rush 1000?
- A position where a winning symbol explodes is marked. Later wins on that spot add a multiplier that doubles with each hit, up to the cap. In free spins the marks stay for the round.
- Can I buy free spins on Sugar Rush 1000 in Ireland?
- Only if the casino offers the feature and its regulator permits it. Casinos serving Ireland hold foreign licences, and you must be 18 or over.
