Betfair Bingo Review: A Betting Licence That Stops at the Bingo Hall

Betfair holds GRAI licences for its sportsbook and exchange. Bingo is gaming, which no Irish licence covers yet, and we could not confirm the bingo room still serves Ireland.

Betfair Bingo: review

Betfair Bingo carries one of the best-known names in Irish betting, but the GRAI licences behind that name cover betting, not bingo. This Betfair Bingo review also has to start with a caveat: we could not confirm that a Betfair Bingo room is still running for Irish customers, so treat the verdict, watch, as provisional.

What the Betfair licences cover

Two Betfair entities appear on the GRAI register. PPB Counterparty Services Limited holds a remote betting licence, issued on 11 August 2026, under the trading names Betfair and Paddy Power. Betfair International plc holds a remote betting intermediary licence for the Betfair Exchange. Both companies were on the old Revenue register before the switch. The details are in GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-1003-RB-26-0001 (PPB Counterparty Services Limited, trading names Betfair, Paddy Power, issued 2026-08-11); GRAI remote betting intermediary licence GRAI-1074-RBI-26-0001 (Betfair International plc, Betfair Exchange).

Bingo is not betting. Under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024 it falls under gaming, and the GRAI has issued no gaming licences: those are expected in early 2027. So whatever licence a Betfair bingo product runs under, it is not an Irish one. Our licensing guide sets out which activities the register covers today.

Is Betfair Bingo still open in Ireland?

We could not say for sure. Betfair's main web addresses did not resolve from our research network, and the support site put up a bot check, which we did not try to get past. Our records therefore confirm sports and racing and leave casino and bingo open. Before you go looking for a Betfair bingo game, check that the bingo tab exists on your account and read which company and licence its terms name.

The rest of the Betfair business is a different matter. For the sportsbook and the exchange, see our Betfair review; for how an exchange differs from a bookmaker, our exchanges page.

Promo codes, the 5 free offer and existing customers

Search terms around Betfair Bingo are dominated by offers: a bonus code, a no deposit promo, "5 free" and codes for existing customers. We confirmed none of them. If the operator data holds a current welcome offer it appears here: ; a code, here: .

Three questions apply to any bingo promotion, from Betfair or anyone else:

  1. Is the bonus money bingo-only, or can it be played on slots, where the wagering may count differently?
  2. How many times must the bonus be played through before it can be withdrawn, and within how many days?
  3. Is there a cap on what can be won from bonus funds?

Offers for existing customers tend to change weekly, which is why codes copied from old pages so often fail. Our bonus guide covers wagering in more detail.

Betfair Bingo app and real-money play

No separate Betfair Bingo app was confirmed. The main Betfair apps, where available, list the products open to your account. Real-money online bingo and slots are both gaming, so the licence point above applies to each.

Withdrawals and complaints

Payment methods and payout times for bingo were not confirmed. The practical question is where a complaint would go. For a bet on the sportsbook or exchange, the GRAI is the regulator. For a bingo or slots dispute, it would be the foreign regulator named in the bingo terms, not the Irish one. Know which before you deposit.

Bingo sister sites and alternatives

Betfair and Paddy Power share a licence holder, which is about as far as the record goes on Betfair Bingo sister sites. If bingo is the point, our bingo section compares rooms that accept Irish players under Malta or UK licences.

Betfair Bingo review verdict: watch

A strong parent with Irish betting licences, and a bingo product we could neither confirm nor fault. The desk will revisit it once the GRAI starts licensing gaming and the bingo terms can be read. Bingo, like every form of gambling here, is 18+ only; tools and support are on our responsible gambling page.
