BetGoodwin Review: A Sussex Bookmaker With a GRAI Licence

BetGoodwin is licensed in Ireland for betting: Goodwin Racing Limited, of Uckfield in East Sussex, appears on the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland register with a remote betting licence valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029. This BetGoodwin review rates it each-way, a properly licensed bookmaker whose racing depth, payments and offers we could not yet confirm.

BetGoodwin in Ireland: what the licence covers

The register entry lists Goodwin Racing and Betgoodwin as trading names under one remote betting licence: GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-0678-RB-26-0001 (Goodwin Racing Limited), valid 2026-07-01 to 2029-06-30. Before the GRAI took over, the same company was on Revenue's list of licensed remote bookmakers at 30 June 2026, so there was no gap in its Irish cover when the new regime began on 1 July.

That licence covers betting and nothing else. GRAI gaming licences do not exist yet and are expected in early 2027, so the BetGoodwin casino tab sits outside it. The official site describes the business as licensed by the UK Gambling Commission as well as the GRAI, which suggests the casino runs under the British licence for now; we did not confirm which licence the casino terms name. Is BetGoodwin legit?

On the paperwork, yes. The company is on two public registers, in Ireland and Great Britain, under its own name. It is not one of the household names of the Irish high street, which is neither a mark for nor against it. What we cannot do is vouch for the detail. Our research did not confirm how far its racing coverage goes, whether it offers best odds guaranteed, which payment methods it takes, or how fast it pays.

One naming point. Searches for BetGoodwin casino sometimes surface Goodwin N.V., a Curacao company named as licence holder for the Lussurio casino. We found nothing connecting it to Goodwin Racing Limited, and our Lussurio review treats it as a separate, offshore business.

Sportsbook, racing and the casino tab

The site sells itself as a sportsbook and casino. Despite the company name, racing features were not confirmed from official pages, so look for the best odds guaranteed and extra-places terms on the racing pages before assuming either. The casino side is a convenience for existing customers rather than a reason to sign up. It is covered by a foreign licence, not an Irish one, which is true of every bookmaker-run casino in the country at the moment.
