LeoVegas Review: A Malta Licence and No GRAI Licence
LeoVegas still runs an Irish-facing site, under a Malta Gaming Authority licence. Its sportsbook lost its Revenue licence in June and is not on the GRAI register, so we mark it one to watch.

In this LeoVegas review the short answer is that LeoVegas accepts Irish customers through a dedicated Irish site, under a Malta Gaming Authority licence held by LeoVegas Gaming P.L.C. It holds no Irish licence: the brand is absent from the register of the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI), and our verdict is watch.
Watch is not swerve. It means a regulated European operator with an open question over what it can lawfully offer Irish punters on the betting side. The casino and the sportsbook have to be judged separately, and most of this page is about why.

The licence record we hold: Malta Gaming Authority; also Revenue Remote Bookmaker's Licence 1012453 on the legacy Revenue register; no GRAI licence.
The casino licence: Malta, because Ireland has none yet
No online casino in Ireland holds an Irish gaming licence, because none has been issued. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 provides for gaming licences, and the GRAI expects to begin issuing them in early 2027. Until then every casino serving Irish players does so under a foreign licence, and the useful question is which one.
For LeoVegas the answer in our file is the Malta Gaming Authority, the regulator of an EU member state. We could not read the licence entry directly, so check the MGA's public register for LeoVegas Gaming P.L.C. before a first deposit. A dispute with the casino goes to the operator first and then to the MGA, not to any Irish body.
The sportsbook: where the July change bites
Betting is different. From 1 July 2026 the GRAI, not Revenue, licenses online bookmakers serving Ireland. LeoVegas Gaming P.L.C. sat on Revenue's list of remote bookmakers before the switch, which is consistent with trade reports of a LeoVegas Sports launch here. The GRAI register, last updated 20 October 2026, has no LeoVegas entity.
We could not confirm whether the sportsbook is still offered to Irish accounts. If it is, a bet on the GAA or Leopardstown placed there has no Irish regulator behind it, and the Malta licence does not substitute for a GRAI one where Irish law requires the latter. If it has been switched off, searches for LeoVegas Sport lead to a product Irish punters cannot use. Either way, for racing and sport our money goes to a bookmaker on the register; the betting sites guide lists only those.
Is LeoVegas legit?
As a business, yes on the evidence we hold: a Malta-licensed operator that appeared on Revenue's licensed list and runs a dedicated Irish site. As an Irish-licensed operator, no, and that distinction is what the form line reflects. Legitimate and licensed in the place you live are not the same thing, a point our licensing guide makes at more length.
LeoVegas casino and live casino
Our file confirms a casino for Irish customers; whether a live casino with dealer tables is offered to Irish accounts is not confirmed. We do not list game counts or providers, which change often and can be checked in the lobby. Two points to check in the casino terms before play: whether bonus funds can be used on live tables, and the maximum bet allowed while a bonus is active. Live dealer games are often excluded from wagering or counted at a reduced rate, and the terms say which.
Welcome bonus, free spins and promo codes
The current welcome offer, where our data carries it: . Promo code, if any is needed: . Searches for a LeoVegas no deposit bonus or 50 free spins circulate widely; neither is confirmed for Irish accounts, and we do not repeat numbers we cannot match to the operator's own terms.
Read three lines of any casino offer before accepting it: the wagering multiple, the expiry date and the games that count. Our welcome bonus guide explains how to price those up. The Act also contains a ban on targeted inducements that has not yet been commenced; once it is, offers from licensed operators may change shape.
Deposits and LeoVegas withdrawal
Payment methods for Irish accounts are not confirmed in our file. Where the data exists: methods , minimum deposit , withdrawal time .
Expect identity checks before the first withdrawal; sending the documents early avoids a delay. Withdrawals usually return to the deposit method. If a payout stalls beyond the time the terms state, raise a written complaint with the operator and keep the reference; the MGA is the next step after that. Should LeoVegas stop serving Ireland, as Betfred did at the end of June 2026, the same applies: ask for the balance in writing and keep the reply.
How LeoVegas compares with Irish-licensed bookies
The comparison that matters is not game count or offer size. A bookmaker on the GRAI register, such as Paddy Power or BoyleSports, answers to an Irish regulator for its betting and, like LeoVegas, runs its casino under a foreign licence. For a punter who wants sport and casino in one account, that is the cleaner arrangement today. For casino alone, LeoVegas and a licensed bookie's casino stand on similar ground: both foreign-regulated, neither licensed here for gaming.
LeoVegas UK, .com and the Irish site
LeoVegas runs a dedicated Irish site, separate from its UK and .com versions. An account opened from Ireland belongs on the Irish one, and offers, games or payment options quoted for the UK do not carry across. Check the address when a search result lands on another version.
Sister sites and the app
Ownership of the wider group is not recorded in our operator file, so we do not list LeoVegas sister sites here; the sister sites guide covers groups we have documented. The mobile app is dealt with on the LeoVegas app page.
What would change the verdict
A GRAI remote betting licence would settle the sportsbook question at once. And when the GRAI begins gaming licensing, expected in early 2027, the casino will need to show whether it seeks an Irish gaming licence. Either would move the brand off watch. Until then, the casino is a Malta-regulated product used at your own judgement, and the sportsbook is not one we point Irish punters towards.

Readers' questions
- Is LeoVegas licensed in Ireland?
- No. It works under a Malta Gaming Authority licence held by LeoVegas Gaming P.L.C. and does not appear on the GRAI register.
- Does LeoVegas accept Irish players?
- Yes. It runs a dedicated Irish-facing site, and it was on Revenue's list of remote bookmakers until that regime ended in June 2026.
- Can I bet on sport at LeoVegas from Ireland?
- We could not confirm it. Since 1 July 2026 online betting from Ireland needs a GRAI licence, which LeoVegas does not hold, so we point punters to bookmakers on the register.
- Who do I complain to about LeoVegas?
- First the operator, in writing. If that fails, the Malta Gaming Authority, which licenses it. No Irish regulator covers its casino.
