LeoVegas App: What to Check Before Installing in Ireland
The LeoVegas app runs on the same account and the same Malta licence as the website. Check the publisher, the Irish version and the sportsbook question before installing.

The LeoVegas app, where the stores offer it in Ireland, uses the same account as the Irish-facing website, under the Malta Gaming Authority licence held by LeoVegas Gaming P.L.C. It holds no Irish licence, so treat it as a Malta-regulated casino on your phone and nothing more.
Finding the LeoVegas app from Ireland
Store details are not confirmed in our operator file. Where the data carries them, the links are: iPhone , Android . If those come up empty, start from the operator's Irish site and follow its own link to the store rather than searching the store by name.
- Open the store listing and check the publisher. It should be the operator or its group, not an unknown developer using the LeoVegas name.
- Make sure you are installing the version for Ireland; LeoVegas runs separate products for separate jurisdictions.
- Log in with an existing account, or register and complete the identity checks.
- Set a deposit limit in the account settings before the first deposit.
- Read the bonus terms in full on the phone, including the maximum bet while a bonus is live.
Install only from the official stores; a download file on a third-party page has had no store review.
Same account, same Malta licence
An app does not carry a licence of its own. Whatever regulator covers the account on the website covers it in the app, which for LeoVegas means the MGA. Ireland issues no gaming licences yet; the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland expects to start in early 2027. A complaint about a casino game or a withdrawal therefore runs to the operator first and the MGA second.
Sport in the app after 1 July 2026
LeoVegas is not on the GRAI register, which an online bookmaker taking bets from Ireland now has to be. We could not confirm whether the app still shows a sportsbook to Irish accounts. If it does, those bets are not placed with an Irish-licensed bookmaker, and for racing or the GAA we would use an app from the licensed betting apps list instead. The full reasoning is in the LeoVegas review.
Payments on a small screen
Payment methods for Irish accounts are not in our file: . Wallet payments save typing a card number on a phone; our Apple Pay guide covers how they work at casinos serving Ireland. Expect a withdrawal to return to the method used to deposit.
The phone problem, and the fix
18+ only. A casino on a phone is open at the bus stop, in bed and during the ads, which is why the limit belongs in the settings before the first spin rather than in good intentions. Session reminders and time-outs, where the app offers them, do the same job. Free support in Ireland is listed on our responsible gambling page.
