Bookmaker review
Ladbrokes Review: The Irish Licence, Racing, Lotto Bets and Golf
An Entain bookmaker with a GRAI betting licence, a broad racing book with a best odds guarantee and fixed-odds bets on the Irish Lotto. The casino side sits under other licences, and the terms need reading.

Ladbrokes takes bets from Irish customers under a GRAI remote betting licence held by LC International Limited, an Entain company, valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029. That licence covers betting and nothing else: the Ladbrokes casino, slots, games and bingo run under other licences, because Ireland has not yet issued a gaming licence to anyone.
This Ladbrokes review sticks to what an Irish punter actually meets: an international site rather than a local one, a racing book with best odds guaranteed, fixed-odds bets on the Irish Lotto, a golf section that draws more Irish searches than you might expect, and terms that say less than the brand's size suggests. Adults only, 18+.
Ladbrokes in Ireland: the licence on the register
Since 1 July 2026 any online bookmaker taking bets from people in the State has needed a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland. The register entry for Ladbrokes names LC International Limited under licence GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001, issued on the first day the GRAI granted remote licences. The form box beside this review carries the same reference: GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001 (LC International Limited), valid 2026-07-01 to 2029-06-30.
Before July the same company held a Revenue remote bookmaker's licence which, on Revenue's old list, covered both the Ladbrokes and the Coral websites. The GRAI register has split the pair. Coral now sits under a different Entain company, ElectraWorks Limited. Our guide to the GRAI register explains how to read an entry.
The 2% betting duty on turnover is paid to Revenue by the bookmaker; nothing comes off a punter's winnings in Ireland.
Ladbrokes Ireland, IE and the .com site
There is no separate Irish Ladbrokes website. The Irish address forwards to the international one, so searches for Ladbrokes Ireland, Ladbrokes IE, Ladbrokes online and Ladbrokes com all arrive at the same front door. What changes for a customer in the Republic is the licence behind the account and the version of the terms that applies to Irish residents. The terms that bind are the version shown once you are logged in, not a summary lifted from somewhere else.
Ladbrokes racing: BOG, cards and results
Horses are the core of the Ladbrokes betting book. According to its App Store listing, the best odds guarantee (BOG) applies to UK and Irish racing: take a fixed price, and if the starting price comes back bigger, a winning bet is settled at the SP. Qualifying races, cut-off times and any cap on the payout sit in the operator's terms and can change, so check them before relying on the concession for a big-field handicap.
A worked example. EUR 20 to win at 11/4; the horse wins and the SP is 7/2. At the price taken the return is EUR 75 (EUR 55 profit plus the stake). Settled at the SP it is EUR 90. Had the SP shortened to 5/2, the 11/4 stands and the return stays at EUR 75. If the horse is beaten, BOG changes nothing. Our BOG comparison lays the licensed firms side by side.
Searches for Ladbrokes racing results are mostly searches for results, full stop. The official result is declared on course and so are the starting prices; no single bookmaker owns either. The racing results page carries the day's feed without a bet slip attached.
Irish Lotto results and the three draws
One query brings Ladbrokes a striking amount of Irish traffic: Irish Lotto results tonight, three draws, with the bookmaker's name on the end. Ladbrokes runs a betting page on the Irish Lotto, and people who back numbers there want to know how the balls fell. The "three draws" can mean two things. Since September 2026 Lotto is drawn three nights a week, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, at 7.55pm. On any draw night there are also three draws in a different sense: the main Lotto, then Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2, which use the same numbers.
A bet with Ladbrokes on lotto numbers is not a National Lottery ticket. It is a fixed-odds bet settled on the official draw, with prices and rules set by the bookmaker, and it sits under the bookmaker's betting licence rather than the National Lottery's regulator. The Lotto jackpot plays no part in it. The game itself changed in September 2026 to six numbers from 1 to 45; our lotto desk explains the current rules. The latest published results:

Golf betting and the wider sportsbook
Ladbrokes golf and Ladbrokes golf betting are steady searches from Ireland, which says something about where Irish punters look for an each-way price. Golf outrights are big-field markets, and the number of places paid and the fraction of the odds are set by the bookmaker tournament by tournament; extra places are a common promotion around the majors. Read the place terms on the bet slip before staking.
The arithmetic, as an example with 1/5 odds terms: EUR 5 each-way on a golfer at 40/1 costs EUR 10. Finish inside the places without winning and the place half pays 8/1, a return of EUR 45; the win half is lost. Win the tournament and both halves pay: EUR 205 from the win part plus EUR 45 from the place part, EUR 250 in all. The Irish Open, played at Doonbeg in 2026, returns to the K Club in 2027. Our golf desk covers the calendar.
Beyond racing and golf, the Ladbrokes sportsbook covers football, GAA, rugby and the rest of the usual card. We do not list market counts: the depth of a book on a club hurling match or a URC fixture changes week to week, and a count taken today would mislead by next month.
The Ladbrokes app
Ladbrokes publishes a sports betting app on the Irish App Store and a listing on Google Play. The app and the website share one account, one wallet and one set of limits, so a deposit limit set on a phone applies on a laptop too. Our betting apps page compares the licensed firms on mobile.
Ladbrokes casino, slots and bingo: a different licence
Here the Irish licence stops. Ladbrokes casino, Ladbrokes games and the slots section are gaming, and the GRAI does not expect to license gaming until early 2027. Gibraltar's list of approved brands shows LC International holding both a gaming licence and a bookmaker licence there, but which licence covers casino play for customers in Ireland we could not confirm. In practice a dispute about a slot or a table game has no Irish regulator to go to today.
The slot machines that searches mention are online slot games from third-party studios; their return-to-player figures are set and published by the studio, not by Ladbrokes. Bingo has its own review: Ladbrokes Bingo.
Ladbrokes shops in Dublin and Cork
Searches for Ladbrokes in Dublin, Ladbrokes Cork and Ladbrokes Cork City are looking for a counter, not a website. We have no confirmed, current list of Ladbrokes-branded shops in the Republic, so we print no addresses. Shop betting also runs on a separate licence track: Revenue in-person bookmaker licences expire on 30 November 2026 and GRAI in-person betting licences begin on 1 December 2026. The remote licence above says nothing about any shop, and shop and online terms should not be assumed to match.
Payments and limits
A Ladbrokes payments page, not specific to Ireland, lists debit cards (Visa and Mastercard), Apple Pay and Paysafecard. Credit cards are not an option with any Irish licensee: section 165 of the 2024 Act has banned credit for gambling since February 2026. We hold no confirmed figure for the minimum deposit or the time a withdrawal takes; if the operator publishes them, they appear in the form box.
On control tools, the operator's safer gambling page describes deposit limits, deposit curfews that stop deposits during hours you choose, and play breaks. Those are better than the legal minimum, which since February 2026 obliges licensees to let customers set monetary limits.
Sign-up offer
We could not confirm a current Irish welcome offer for Ladbrokes. When one is live it reads: . The 2024 Act contains a ban on inducements aimed at individuals, but it was not in force in October 2026; our free bets page explains what to look for in the meantime.
Verdict on Ladbrokes
Each-way. The licence is the right one, the racing book is broad, BOG on UK and Irish racing is in its favour, and the Irish Lotto and golf markets give it range. Its form line drops on terms clarity: offers, BOG conditions and casino licensing are all harder to pin down than they should be for a firm of this size, and the casino side has no Irish cover at all. Open an account for the racing; read the small print before anything else.
Betting is for over-18s. Set a deposit limit on day one, and if betting stops being fun, our responsible gambling page lists Irish support, including Gamblers Anonymous Ireland.

Readers' questions
- Is Ladbrokes licensed in Ireland?
- For betting, yes. LC International Limited holds GRAI remote betting licence GRAI-0622-RB-26-0001, valid from 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2029. It does not cover the casino, slots or bingo, as no Irish gaming licence exists yet.
- Is a Ladbrokes Irish Lotto bet the same as a Lotto ticket?
- No. It is a fixed-odds bet with the bookmaker, settled on the official draw. It does not enter you into the National Lottery or give a chance at the jackpot.
- Does Ladbrokes pay best odds guaranteed?
- Its App Store listing says BOG applies to UK and Irish racing. Qualifying races and any limits are in the operator terms.
- Are Ladbrokes and Coral the same company?
- Both belong to Entain, but on the GRAI register Ladbrokes is licensed through LC International Limited and Coral through ElectraWorks Limited.
- Can I deposit with a credit card?
- No. Irish law has banned credit for gambling since February 2026. Ladbrokes lists debit cards, Apple Pay and Paysafecard.
