New Slots: Recent Releases and the New Slot Sites Behind Them
Most new slots are sequels, remakes with a bigger number on the box, or old maths in new paint. A few are genuinely different. Here is how to tell which is which.

New slots reach casinos every week, and most fall into three types: sequels to a hit, "1000" or "Super" remakes with a higher win ceiling, and fresh themes on familiar engines. The way to judge one is by its published RTP, volatility and maximum win, not by the launch banner.
New slot websites follow a similar pattern. Most are new brands from established companies, which is not a bad thing, but it means the company matters more than the date. Irish players should also know that no slot site, new or old, holds an Irish gaming licence; that arrives with GRAI gaming licensing, expected in early 2027.

Two established names with clear terms, then two casino-only brands that carry large slot lobbies. All are regulated abroad and none is an Irish licensee. 18+.
New slots in our file: sequels and remakes
The recent releases Irish players search for are mostly follow-ups:
- Pirots 4 and Pirots 5 (ELK Studios): numbered sequels in a series built on collecting birds and symbol upgrades. See Pirots 5.
- Gates of Olympus 1000 and Gates of Olympus Super Scatter (Pragmatic Play): two remakes of the same tumbling slot with different bonus mechanics. Compare with the original Gates of Olympus.
- Sugar Rush 1000 and Sweet Bonanza 1000 (Pragmatic Play): higher-ceiling versions of two cluster and tumble favourites.
- Big Bass Secrets of the Golden Lake and Big Bass Vegas Double Down Deluxe (Pragmatic Play): two more branches of the fishing family that started with Big Bass Bonanza.
- Fishin Frenzy Even Bigger Catch (Blueprint Gaming): a further edition of the Fishin Frenzy line.
- Le Fisherman (Hacksaw Gaming): the same studio's answer to the fishing craze, after Le Bandit.
Newer themes in the file include Hot Slice, The Greatest Catch and Basket Bounty from Evoplay, and Duck Hunters from Nolimit City.
Studios return to a winning formula because players already know it, and a sequel reaches lobbies with a built-in audience. That makes the first question about any new slot game a simple one: what has changed from the version you already know? Usually the answer is the multiplier ladder and the maximum win, which brings us to the numbers in the names.
What "1000" on a slot usually signals
When a studio relaunches a hit with "1000" or "Super" in the name, the change is usually in the multipliers and the maximum win, and with it the volatility. The base game looks familiar; the swings are bigger. Read the provider's published maximum win and volatility rating before assuming the remake plays like the original. If you liked the old game for its steady rhythm, the new one may not suit you.
Judging a new slot before you stake on it
- RTP. A launch press release quotes the provider's top setting; the high RTP slots file covers the lower versions casinos may run instead.
- Volatility. High-volatility releases are common. Size the stake so the budget lasts.
- Maximum win. A large ceiling usually means a game that pays rarely.
- Features. Read the bonus rules. A good-looking feature that triggers once in many hundreds of spins is mostly decoration.
- Demo. If a demo exists, use it to learn the rules, as set out on our free slots page.
New slot sites and the free sign-up bonus
Brand-new slot sites tend to lead with a free sign-up bonus or a no deposit offer. Read three terms before claiming one: the wagering on winnings, the maximum cash-out, and the games that count. As an example, 20 free spins at 20 cent are EUR 4 of play; if the cash-out cap is EUR 50, that is the most the offer can ever pay, however lucky the spins. Our no deposit bonuses page covers the detail, and the new casino sites page traces which companies sit behind the newest brands.
Offers may change. The Gambling Regulation Act 2024 bans inducements aimed at individuals and lets the Minister restrict offers to the public, but in October 2026 those sections were still awaiting commencement.
New slots in Ireland: availability and timing
A release date announced by a studio is not the date a game appears at every casino. Each operator decides which titles to add and when, and providers can hold games back from particular markets. If a new slot is missing from your casino, it is a business decision, not a sign the casino is hiding anything. What should never be missing is the information screen with the rules and RTP.
New games are designed to be noticed. Novelty is part of the fun, but it is also a reason to decide the budget before the first spin; our responsible gambling page sets out the limits worth switching on.
Readers' questions
- Are new slots better than older ones?
- Not by default. Newer games often have higher volatility and bigger maximum wins, but the RTP may be the same or lower. Judge each on its published figures.
- What does the 1000 in a slot name mean?
- It marks a remake with larger multipliers and a higher win ceiling than the original, usually with higher volatility as well.
- Are new slot sites licensed in Ireland?
- No casino site holds an Irish gaming licence, as the GRAI has not started gaming licensing. New sites open to Irish players are licensed abroad.
- Do new slot sites offer no deposit bonuses?
- Some do, usually free spins. Expect wagering on winnings and a cap on what can be withdrawn.
