New Betting Sites in Ireland: the Latest Licensed Bookmakers

The GRAI register started from scratch in July 2026, so "new" needs care. Here are the smaller and more recent licensed bookies, how to check a newcomer, and the warning signs.

New betting sites

New betting sites in Ireland are worth a look only if they appear on the GRAI register, which every online bookmaker has needed since 1 July 2026. This page ranks the smaller and more recently licensed firms, then shows how to vet any newcomer in about five minutes.

What counts as a new bookmaker in 2026

Strictly, every licence on the register is new: the GRAI issued its first remote betting licences on 1 July 2026, and long-established firms such as bet365 and BoyleSports were among them. So the desk reads "new" in two ways. Some brands are new to the register, licensed in August, September or October after the first wave. Others are smaller names that most Irish punters have not used, whatever their age. Both kinds are below; the giants have their own page on our Irish betting sites hub.

Form reads licence, markets, payments, safer-play tools, terms; 1 is best. How we rate. 18+ only.

None of these carries our nap. Five sit at each-way; Tonybet is on watch.

LiveScore Bet

The betting arm of the scores app, licensed through LiveScore Betting and Gaming (Gibraltar) Limited from 30 July 2026. The Irish App Store listing covers UK and Irish racing with BOG on eligible races. Its payment list could not be read from official pages.

Bet Master

Run by BM Solutions Limited of Malta, licensed from 1 July 2026. Its Irish site states the GRAI licence for the sportsbook and a Maltese licence for gaming, and lists sports, racing, casino, esports and bingo. Payment options named on the site include Visa, Mastercard, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafecard, Rapid and Revolut.

BetGoodwin

Goodwin Racing Limited, based in East Sussex, holds the licence. The firm describes itself as licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the GRAI and links its own iOS and Android apps. Racing depth and BOG were not confirmed from its own pages.

Fitzdares

A London bookmaker, licensed in Ireland from 1 September 2026. Its site blocked our research fetches, so products and payments are unconfirmed and its form line is correspondingly modest.

Matchbook

Triplebet Limited holds both a betting licence and an intermediary (exchange) licence, each from 1 October 2026, making Matchbook one of the latest arrivals. Its purchase of Betdaq, completed in October 2026, folded the older Irish exchange's liquidity into Matchbook. More on our exchanges page.

Tonybet

Tonybet OU of Estonia was licensed from 16 September 2026. The Irish domain did not resolve when checked and the product list could not be confirmed, which is why the verdict is watch rather than each-way.

Other recent names on the GRAI register

The register as downloaded on 29 October 2026 shows further autumn arrivals that the desk has not yet rated: Interwetten (licensed from 16 October), Star Spreads (28 September), Spreadex (25 September), Dabble and Kwiff (10 September) and DragonBet (4 September). A place on the register is the minimum, not a recommendation; we will add them to the table once their Irish products are checked.

How to check a new betting site

  1. Find the licence holder. The footer should name a company and a GRAI licence number. Look it up on the GRAI's public register of licensees; the company name and trading name must match.
  2. Check the licence type. Remote betting or remote betting intermediary. Any claim to an Irish casino licence is false, because none has been issued.
  3. Read the payment page. Credit cards should be refused; Irish law bans them for gambling. Crypto-only cashiers are a strong warning.
  4. Find the limits. Deposit limits and self-exclusion should be in the account menu, not hidden behind a chat window.
  5. Read the withdrawal terms. Vague phrases about "security reviews" with no time frame cost punters money.

Warning signs on brand new bookies

Sites licensed in Curacao or Anjouan, or with no licence shown at all, are not new Irish bookmakers, however polished the homepage. They have no Irish licence, Irish law offers you no protection with them, a dispute goes at best to a regulator overseas, and they are not a choice we recommend. Treat any site that advertises a way round a self-exclusion or a block the same way. Some British brands, Virgin Bet for one, do not accept Irish customers at all; the licensing page explains how to tell the difference.

New betting account offers

Newcomers often lead with bigger welcome offers than the established books. Value them with the stake-not-returned maths on our free bets page, and compare the minimum odds and expiry dates rather than the headline figure. A large bonus from a small firm with thin markets is still a small firm with thin markets.

Is a new bookie worth opening?

Often, yes, as a second or third account. Price differences between books are real, and a smaller firm may price an Irish race or a GAA match more generously than the market leaders. The trade-off is less certainty about payout speed and support, and fewer published tools. Set a deposit limit from day one, keep the first withdrawal small to see how it is handled, and do not leave a large balance sitting with a firm you have just met.

Accounts are for 18+ customers, with age and identity checks before your first bet. If opening new accounts has turned into chasing losses across several, our responsible gambling page has Irish support contacts.
